Attachment - Pipe elbow

The pipe elbow and ST5484E transmitter are used in conjunction with the overhead lead and terminal versions. They are not compatible with aviation plug type transmitters. Multiple configurations are available to accommodate both imperial and metric pipe thread sizes, hazardous area approvals, shell materials, and IP ratings. Please note that not all configurations are approved for hazardous areas or have IP ratings. For ST5484E, explosion-proof (Ex d) rating is required, using overhead leads with options D=0, 1, 5,&6, which will have an 8200 elbow and must be used in conjunction with a certified junction box or other certified connecting components. For ST5484E, intrinsic safety (Exia) explosion-proof rating is required, and integral terminal blocks are selected. Options D=2&3 do not require junction boxes. Table 4 illustrates the hazardous areas allowed for each ST5484E connection (option D) (option C). The sale of ST5484E with explosion-proof rating (Exd) will include an 8200-000 IEC explosion-proof elbow at the factory。
